Chilli Butter Garlic Tilapia
Chilli Butter Garlic Tilapia is crisp fried fish coated in a sweet, spicy, buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients for Chilli Butter Garlic Tilapia
- 2 tilapia, cleaned
- 1 small red capsicum, finely diced
- 1 whole garlic, minced
- 2 small shallots, minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup chili garlic oil
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying
How to cook Chilli Butter Garlic Tilapia
- 1.Season tilapia with salt and pepper, then deep-fry in medium-hot oil about 10 minutes until golden and crisp; drain.
- 2.Heat a little oil in a wok over medium heat; sauté garlic and shallots for about 4 minutes until fragrant.
- 3.Add capsicum and cook 30 seconds.
- 4.Stir in butter, chili garlic oil, and oyster sauce until melted and simmering.
- 5.Add sugar, salt, and pepper; stir until sugar dissolves, then gently coat fried tilapia in the sauce and serve hot.
