Sardines with Sotanghon and Pechay
Sardines with Sotanghon and Pechay is a fast pantry noodle soup with tender greens.

Ingredients for Sardines with Sotanghon and Pechay
- 1 can (5.5 ounces) sardines in tomato sauce
- 2 ounces sotanghon noodles
- 1 1/2 cups pechay, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 2 cups water
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 tablespoons green onion
- Patis, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Sardines with Sotanghon and Pechay
- 1.Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Crush and chop garlic, then sauté until beginning to brown.
- 2.Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
- 3.Add sardines with their tomato sauce and cook for 1 minute. Add pechay and sauté 30 seconds.
- 4.Add water and bring to a boil. Stir in sotanghon and cook until softened.
- 5.Season with patis and black pepper. Top with green onion and serve hot.
