Pianono
Pianono is a light Filipino sponge roll coated with sugar and filled simply with margarine.

Ingredients for Pianono
- 7 eggs, separated
- 6 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 7 tbsp white sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- Extra white sugar, for coating
- Margarine, for filling
How to cook Pianono
- 1.Heat oven to 180°C. Beat egg whites until fluffy, gradually beat in sugar, and continue until thick and glossy.
- 2.Sift flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and baking soda. Beat yolks with vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients on low speed.
- 3.Fold yolk mixture gently into whites. Spread evenly in a wax-paper-lined jelly roll pan.
- 4.Bake for 15 minutes, until the cake springs back lightly when touched.
- 5.Scatter sugar over fresh wax paper. Immediately invert hot cake onto it and peel away the baking paper.
- 6.Spread with margarine, roll from the long side, slice, and cool before serving.
