Pancit Macao
Pancit Macao is a rich wok noodle dish loaded with meats, prawns, greens, and savory sauce.

Ingredients for Pancit Macao
- 500 g fresh yellow noodles
- 100 g beef rump, thinly sliced
- 100 g char siu pork
- 15 large prawns
- 2 Chorizo de Macau, sliced
- 1/2 small Chinese cabbage, chopped
- 3 stalks spring onions, sliced
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 small shallots, sliced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- Oil, for cooking
- White pepper, to taste
How to cook Pancit Macao
- 1.Soak fresh yellow noodles in boiling water for 1 minute; drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside.
- 2.Heat oil in a wok over high heat; stir-fry beef for 2 minutes, then remove.
- 3.Add more oil if needed; sauté shallots and garlic, then stir-fry Chorizo de Macau, cabbage, and spring onions for 1 minute.
- 4.Mix cornstarch, stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin; pour into the wok and boil until thickened.
- 5.Add noodles, beef, char siu, and prawns; stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes until noodles absorb the sauce.
- 6.Season with white pepper and serve hot.
