Adobong Sitaw with Tofu
Adobong Sitaw with Tofu is a quick soy-vinegar braise of crisp beans and golden tofu.

Ingredients for Adobong Sitaw with Tofu
- 12 to 15 string beans, cut into 2 1/2-inch lengths
- 3 pieces extra-firm tofu, about 3 oz each, fried until medium brown
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
How to cook Adobong Sitaw with Tofu
- 1.Cut the fried tofu into squares.
- 2.Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until the onion softens.
- 3.Add tofu, soy sauce, and water. Bring to a boil.
- 4.Pour in vinegar and allow the sauce to return to a boil.
- 5.Add string beans, stir, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes, until tender-crisp.
- 6.Season with salt and pepper, then serve.
