Embutido Cordon Bleu
Embutido Cordon Bleu pairs steamed meat rolls with ham, Swiss cheese, and creamy Dijon sauce.

Ingredients for Embutido Cordon Bleu
- 8 slices ham
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 2 cups cooking oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 Knorr Chicken Cube, mashed
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 red bell pepper, minced
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 carrot, minced
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp minced yellow onion
- Salt, to taste
How to cook Embutido Cordon Bleu
- 1.Mix pork, chicken, mashed Chicken Cube, relish, cheddar, bell pepper, raisins, carrot, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs.
- 2.Spread 3/4 cup mixture on foil. Top with 2 ham slices and 2 Swiss slices, roll tightly, twist ends, and repeat.
- 3.Steam rolls for 1 hour. Cool, unwrap, then coat each in flour, beaten egg, and panko.
- 4.Heat oil over medium-high heat and deep-fry until golden brown and heated through. Drain on a rack.
- 5.For sauce, soften yellow onion in butter. Add cream and Dijon; reduce over low-medium heat by half, season, and serve alongside rolls.
