Pork Siomai and Nido Oriental Style Soup

Steamed pork siomai is paired with silky Nido Oriental Style Soup.

Ingredients for Pork Siomai and Nido Oriental Style Soup

  • 1 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 Knorr Pork Cube
  • 1 medium yellow onion, minced
  • 1 small carrot, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 2 eggs, divided
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 (40 g) pack Knorr Real Chinese Soup, Nido Oriental Style
  • 3 cups water
  • Potsticker or siomai wrappers
  • 6 cups water, for steaming
  • Chili garlic sauce, for serving

How to cook Pork Siomai and Nido Oriental Style Soup

  1. 1.Mix pork, onion, carrot, scallions, 1 egg, sesame oil, pepper, and crushed Pork Cube until evenly combined.
  2. 2.Place about 2 tablespoons filling in each wrapper, fold up the sides, press the top lightly, and arrange in a steamer.
  3. 3.Bring 6 cups water to a boil and steam siomai for 20 to 25 minutes, until the centers are fully cooked.
  4. 4.Whisk Nido Oriental Style Soup mix with 3 cups water in a soup pot. Cook, stirring every minute, until boiling and thickened.
  5. 5.Stir in the remaining egg and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Serve soup with siomai and chili garlic sauce.
