Kinamatisang Baka
Kinamatisang Baka is a beefy tomato soup brightened with sitaw and sweet potato leaves.

Ingredients for Kinamatisang Baka
- 4 lb beef neck bones
- 1 Knorr beef cube
- 6 cups water
- 6 tomatoes, cubed
- 1 onion, cubed
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped
- 12 sitaw, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 cups sweet potato leaves
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- Patis, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Kinamatisang Baka
- 1.Place beef neck bones and water in a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer until the meat is tender, about 90 minutes.
- 2.Remove the beef and reserve the cooking broth.
- 3.Heat oil in the pot, sauté onion and garlic, then add tomatoes and cook until softened.
- 4.Return beef, add reserved broth and beef cube, bring to a boil, and cook for 2 minutes. Season with patis and pepper.
- 5.Add sitaw for 5 minutes, then sweet potato leaves; cover for 2 minutes and serve hot with rice.
