Pork and Chicken Sinigang
Pork and Chicken Sinigang layers tender meats and vegetables in a sour tamarind broth.

Ingredients for Pork and Chicken Sinigang
- 1 lb pork belly, cubed
- 1 lb chicken, cut into serving pieces
- 44 g Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix (Original)
- 1 onion, wedged
- 5 tomatoes, wedged
- 5 taro (gabi), diced
- 1 daikon radish, sliced
- 12 okra
- 5 long green peppers
- 15 string beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 Chinese eggplants, sliced
- 2 cups kangkong leaves
- 1 1/2 quarts water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Fish sauce and ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Pork and Chicken Sinigang
- 1.Heat oil in a pot and sauté pork until much of its fat renders. Add chicken and sauté until lightly browned.
- 2.Add onion, taro, daikon, and half the tomatoes; cook 5 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- 3.Add water and bring to a boil. Stir in Sinigang Mix, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, until pork is tender.
- 4.Return chicken and cook 15 minutes. Add long green peppers, string beans, okra, and eggplant; cook 8 minutes.
- 5.Add remaining tomatoes and season with fish sauce and pepper. Add kangkong, cover, turn off heat, and rest 2 minutes.
- 6.Serve hot with rice.
