Ingredients for Grilled Pinoy Pork Chop

  • 2 lbs pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, safflower oil, or ordinary cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • A dash of chili powder, optional

How to cook Grilled Pinoy Pork Chop

  1. 1.In a bowl, mix the oil, garlic powder, salt, ground black pepper, and chili powder if using until the seasonings are evenly suspended in the oil.
  2. 2.Rub the seasoned oil all over each pork chop.
  3. 3.Place the pork chops in a covered container and refrigerate for at least 3 hours to marinate.
  4. 4.Heat a grill to medium heat. Grill the pork chops for 8 to 12 minutes per side, depending on thickness, basting with any remaining seasoned oil as they cook.
  5. 5.Remove from the grill when browned and cooked through. Serve hot, optionally with green mango, tomatoes, salted eggs, and shrimp paste.
