Pinatuyong Pork Hamonado
Pinatuyong Pork Hamonado is pork belly slowly glazed with pineapple, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Ingredients for Pinatuyong Pork Hamonado
- 2 lb pork belly, sliced
- 1 Knorr Pork Cube
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, juice reserved
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Pinatuyong Pork Hamonado
- 1.Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry pork belly until light brown on both sides.
- 2.Add onion and garlic; sauté until the onion softens. Stir in soy sauce and cook for 1 minute.
- 3.Add pineapple juice, water, and Knorr Pork Cube. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low until pork is tender.
- 4.Stir in brown sugar and half the pineapple chunks. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- 5.Season with salt and pepper, then continue cooking until the sauce has evaporated.
- 6.Fold in remaining pineapple chunks and serve.
