Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Daing
Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Daing is a savory everyday sauté of squash, beans, and salty dried fish.

Ingredients for Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Daing
- 1 lb calabaza squash or kalabasa, cubed
- 8 string beans or sitaw, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup daing, shredded or chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 2–2 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Daing
- 1.Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until the onion begins to soften.
- 2.Add daing and stir briefly until fragrant.
- 3.Add kalabasa and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- 4.Pour in water, bring to a boil, cover, and cook 5–6 minutes until water has mostly evaporated and squash softens.
- 5.Add sitaw, fish sauce, and pepper; cook over medium heat 3–5 minutes until beans are tender-crisp.
- 6.Transfer to a serving plate and serve hot.
