Double Cheese Mushroom Burger
These Filipino-inspired mushroom burgers pair hearty patties with double Quickmelt cheddar and fresh sandwich layers.

Ingredients for Double Cheese Mushroom Burger
- 2 1/2 cups brown or button mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup rehydrated shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 cup lean minced beef
- 1 cup pinto beans, mashed
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 white onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Salad greens
- Sliced cucumbers
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sandwich spread
- 8 slices Quickmelt cheddar cheese
How to cook Double Cheese Mushroom Burger
- 1.Mix brown mushrooms, shiitake, beef, pinto beans, flour, eggs, onion, garlic, cumin, parsley, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
- 2.Form the mixture into 8 patties. Cook in a heavy flat pan over medium heat for 4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- 3.Split buns and steam briefly until soft and warm.
- 4.Spread sandwich spread on each bottom bun. Layer greens, one patty, cheese, a second patty, another cheese slice, cucumber, tomato, and the top bun.
