Pork and Kangkong Guisado
This quick Pork and Kangkong Guisado balances savory pork with tender water spinach.

Ingredients for Pork and Kangkong Guisado
- 1/4 lb pork, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch kangkong, leaves separated and stalks chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2–3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
How to cook Pork and Kangkong Guisado
- 1.Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat and cook pork until browned on both sides and its fat has rendered.
- 2.Add garlic and stir for 20 seconds, then add onion and cook until soft.
- 3.Add kangkong stalks and cook 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and black pepper; cook 2 minutes.
- 4.Add kangkong leaves, cover for 1 minute, then stir in beef broth and bring to a boil.
- 5.Cook 1 minute, until the leaves are wilted but bright, then serve.
