Adobo Pork Chops
These adobo pork chops are first browned, then braised in soy, vinegar, garlic, and spices.

Ingredients for Adobo Pork Chops
- 2 lb pork chops
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 tablespoons cane vinegar
- 2 teaspoons whole peppercorns
- 4–5 dried bay leaves
- 1 cup water
- Salt, to taste if needed
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
How to cook Adobo Pork Chops
- 1.Heat oil in a wide deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry pork chops 3–5 minutes per side, until light to medium brown.
- 2.Add garlic, peppercorns, and bay leaves; cook 2–3 minutes until garlic is lightly browned.
- 3.Add water and soy sauce, then bring to a boil.
- 4.Cover and simmer 40–50 minutes until liquid reduces by half, adding water if necessary.
- 5.Add vinegar, bring to a boil, stir, and cook uncovered 10 minutes.
- 6.Adjust salt if needed and serve with steamed white rice.
