Pinipig Ice Drops
Pinipig Ice Drops are creamy frozen milk treats with crisp pinipig and a crackling chocolate shell.

Ingredients for Pinipig Ice Drops
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup milk powder, optional
- 1 cup pinipig
How to cook Pinipig Ice Drops
- 1.Whisk cornstarch with 1/4 cup milk. In a saucepan, whisk sugar and 1/2 cup milk powder, then gradually whisk in whole milk.
- 2.Heat over medium until simmering. Whisk in slurry and cook until thickened but still pourable; stir in vanilla.
- 3.Cool slightly, fill ice-drop molds, insert sticks, and freeze at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 4.Mix coconut oil, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and optional milk powder until smooth. Unmold frozen drops by briefly dipping molds in lukewarm water.
- 5.Coat each drop in pinipig, dip in chocolate mixture once or more for a thicker shell, let harden, and serve or refreeze.
