Filipino Style Pork and Chicken Barbecue
These Filipino barbecue skewers pair sweet banana ketchup marinade with charred pork and juicy chicken.

Ingredients for Filipino Style Pork and Chicken Barbecue
- 3 lb pork shoulder, sliced
- 3 lb chicken, sliced
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup banana ketchup
- 7 calamansi, juiced
- 1 head garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- Bamboo skewers
How to cook Filipino Style Pork and Chicken Barbecue
- 1.Mix Knorr Liquid Seasoning, soy sauce, banana ketchup, calamansi juice, garlic, sugar, and pepper into a marinade.
- 2.Place pork and chicken in separate resealable bags. Divide half the marinade between them, seal, and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
- 3.Thread pork onto soaked bamboo skewers. Combine the reserved marinade with cooking oil for basting.
- 4.Grill pork over medium heat, turning and basting every few minutes, until fully cooked and lightly charred.
- 5.Grill chicken the same way until browned and its thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve with rice and spicy vinegar.
