Pulled Beef Asado

Ingredients for Pulled Beef Asado
- 1 lb beef brisket or shoulder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 to 4 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
How to cook Pulled Beef Asado
- 1.Place beef in a pot and add enough water to fully submerge it with extra water above the meat.
- 2.Bring to a rolling boil uncovered over high heat; cover, reduce to low, and cook 3 to 4 hours until very tender.
- 3.Remove beef from broth and shred it with two forks.
- 4.Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sauté garlic and onion until lightly browned.
- 5.Add beef, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and cayenne; stir constantly for several minutes until absorbed and combined.
