- 6 prepared balut duck eggs
- Salt, to taste
- Vinegar, for dipping
How to cook Balut
- 1.Place the prepared balut eggs in a saucepan and cover with water.
- 2.Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then warm the eggs for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 3.Drain and serve the eggs hot with salt and vinegar on the side.
- 4.Crack the wider end of each shell, sip the broth if present, then peel and eat the egg.
