Sinigang na Sugpo
Sinigang na Sugpo is a bright tamarind broth showcasing sweet tiger prawns and crisp vegetables.

Ingredients for Sinigang na Sugpo
- 2.2 lb sugpo (tiger prawns)
- 1 40 g packet Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix, Original
- 4–6 okra
- 12–15 sitaw, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 medium labanos, sliced
- 3 medium tomatoes, wedged
- 3 medium yellow onions, wedged
- 3–5 siling pansigang
- 3 tablespoons patis
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 quarts water
How to cook Sinigang na Sugpo
- 1.Bring water to a boil in a pot, then add onions and tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes.
- 2.Stir in Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix, then add labanos and siling pansigang; cook for 2 minutes.
- 3.Add sugpo and gently stir; cook for 5 minutes, until the prawns are opaque.
- 4.Add okra and sitaw and cook for 2 1/2–3 minutes, until crisp-tender.
- 5.Season with patis and black pepper, then transfer the hot soup to a serving bowl.
