- 2 lb sea snails
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 2 tbsp shrimp paste (bagoong alamang)
- 1 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 thumb-sized piece ginger, minced
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
How to cook Snails with Spinach in Coconut Milk
- 1.Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté garlic, ginger, and onion until fragrant.
- 2.Stir in shrimp paste, fish sauce, black pepper, and crushed red pepper.
- 3.Pour in coconut milk, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 4.Add sea snails, raise heat to medium, cover, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring gently every 3 minutes.
- 5.Add spinach and cook for 3 minutes until wilted, then serve.
