Nilasing na Tilapia
Nilasing na Tilapia is wine-marinated, flour-crusted fish fried until crisp.

Ingredients for Nilasing na Tilapia
- 1 tilapia, scaled and gutted
- 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cooking wine, sherry or shaoxing
- 1½ cups cooking oil
How to cook Nilasing na Tilapia
- 1.Rub tilapia, including its cavity, with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2.Pour cooking wine over the fish in a deep dish; marinate 15 minutes per side.
- 3.Shake cornstarch and flour together in a resealable bag. Add fish and shake until fully coated.
- 4.Heat oil and fry over medium heat until one side is golden and crisp; turn and cook the second side the same way.
- 5.Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
