Ginataang Pusit (squid in coconut milk)
Tender squid and malunggay simmer in a thick, spicy coconut sauce.

Ingredients for Ginataang Pusit (squid in coconut milk)
- 1 1/2 lb small to medium squid, cleaned
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 1/2 cups malunggay leaves
- 4 long green chili peppers
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Ginataang Pusit (squid in coconut milk)
- 1.Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until softened.
- 2.Add squid and cook for 1 minute, then remove it to a plate.
- 3.Pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil. Add fish sauce and green chilies.
- 4.Simmer uncovered for 12–18 minutes, until the coconut milk is thickened.
- 5.Return squid, add malunggay, and cook 5 minutes. Stir in pepper and serve with rice.
