Pork Guisantes
Pork guisantes is a tomato-braised pork dish with green peas and sweet capsicum.

Ingredients for Pork Guisantes
- 500 g pork shoulder, sliced into long strips
- 1 small yellow capsicum, sliced into strips
- 1 small red capsicum, sliced into strips
- 1½ cups green peas
- 400 g tomato purée
- 1½ cups beef stock
- 1 tsp dried sweet basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- Oil
- Fish sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper
How to cook Pork Guisantes
- 1.Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- 2.Add pork and brown all sides, about 5 minutes.
- 3.Add tomato purée, stock, basil, and oregano. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat 35–40 minutes.
- 4.Add both capsicums and green peas; cook 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- 5.Season with fish sauce and black pepper, then serve with steamed rice.
