- 1 lb mackerel or tuna steak cuts
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or kalamansi juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 onion, cut into rings
- 3 tablespoons oil
How to cook Fish Steak (Mackerel/Tanigue)- Filipino style
- 1.Mix soy sauce, lemon or kalamansi juice, and pepper; coat the fish and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- 2.Heat oil over medium-high heat and fry fish until golden brown and cooked through; arrange on a serving plate.
- 3.In the same pan, stir-fry onion rings until lightly browned at the edges but still crisp; place over the fish.
- 4.Simmer the remaining marinade for 1 minute, then spoon it over the fish and onions before serving.
