Dinengdeng with Fried Fish
Dinengdeng with Fried Fish combines fried fish with tender vegetables in a bagoong monamon broth.

Ingredients for Dinengdeng with Fried Fish
- 2–3 medium fish, cleaned
- 10 okra
- 1 1/2 cups squash flowers
- 3 bitter gourds (ampalaya), cored and sliced
- 10 snake beans (sitaw), cut short
- 2 medium ripe plum tomatoes, wedged
- 2 knobs ginger, sliced
- 1 onion, wedged
- 2 cups hot pepper leaves (dahon ng sili)
- 3 cups water
- 3 tbsp bagoong monamon
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
How to cook Dinengdeng with Fried Fish
- 1.Rub fish with salt and fry in hot oil until golden on both sides; set aside.
- 2.Bring water to a boil, then add onion, ginger, and tomato; cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- 3.Stir in bagoong monamon, okra, ampalaya, and sitaw; cover and cook 7–12 minutes.
- 4.Add dahon ng sili and squash flowers; cook 3 minutes.
- 5.Lay fried fish over the vegetables, cover for 1 minute, and serve.
