How to cook Pork Empanada

  1. 1.Heat oil and brown pork. Add onion and cook soft; add raisins, Worcestershire sauce, and broth, then cover and cook over medium heat 10–12 minutes.
  2. 2.Add peas, carrot, and potato; cover and cook 5–8 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute and cool.
  3. 3.Preheat oven to 400°F. Pulse flour and salt with butter until crumbly; pulse in egg and milk gradually until dough forms.
  4. 4.Divide dough into two disks, chill at least 20 minutes, then roll out and cut circles.
  5. 5.Fill each circle with 1–2 tablespoons pork mixture, fold, seal, and crimp with a fork. Arrange on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. 6.Bake 15 minutes. Brush with egg white mixed with 2 tablespoons milk; bake 5–7 minutes more until medium brown. Cool slightly and serve.
