Sweet-style Filipino Spaghetti with Corned Beef
Sweet Filipino spaghetti combines a cheesy banana-ketchup sauce with hotdogs and corned beef.

Ingredients for Sweet-style Filipino Spaghetti with Corned Beef
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 5 hotdogs, diagonally sliced
- 1 (150 g) can corned beef
- 1 medium carrot, finely diced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 (400 g) can champignon mushrooms, quartered
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup banana ketchup (tamis anghang)
- 1 (165 g) block cheese, such as Eden or Velveeta
- 1/2 tbsp salt, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, or to taste
How to cook Sweet-style Filipino Spaghetti with Corned Beef
- 1.Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.
- 2.Heat oil and butter over medium heat; sauté garlic and onion until tender.
- 3.Cook ground beef, breaking it up, for about 3 minutes until no pink remains; add hotdogs for 2 minutes.
- 4.Stir in corned beef, carrot, peppers, and mushrooms; cook for 1 minute.
- 5.Add tomato sauce, banana ketchup, salt, and pepper; simmer 5–7 minutes until carrot is tender.
- 6.Melt in half the grated cheese, toss with spaghetti, and finish with remaining cheese.
