Pinoy Style Carbonara
This Pinoy-style carbonara is creamy, meaty, and party-ready, with bacon, ground beef, mushrooms, cream, egg yolks, and Parmesan.

Ingredients for Pinoy Style Carbonara
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1/2 lb bacon, chopped
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup sliced button mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, divided
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 small yellow onion, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook Pinoy Style Carbonara
- 1.Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- 2.In a pot over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp and fat renders; remove bacon and discard all but a little fat.
- 3.Brown ground beef in the bacon fat, then add onion and garlic and cook until the onion softens.
- 4.Pour in beef broth and simmer until almost dry; add mushrooms and butter, stirring until the butter melts.
- 5.Add 2 1/4 cups cream, bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then stir in Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- 6.Beat egg yolks with remaining 1/4 cup cream; stir into the sauce continuously until thick and smooth.
- 7.Toss sauce with spaghetti and serve topped with crisp bacon and extra Parmesan.
