Ingredients for Chicken with Ampalaya in Oyster Sauce
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 ampalaya, cored and sliced
- 1 small yellow onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Chicken with Ampalaya in Oyster Sauce
- 1.Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until the onion softens.
- 2.Add chicken and cook 2–3 minutes, until lightly browned.
- 3.Stir in oyster sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
- 4.Add water or broth, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer 10–12 minutes, adding liquid if needed.
- 5.Add ampalaya and cook over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until just tender; season and serve with rice.
