Creamy Lengua (Pork Tongue)
Creamy Lengua turns tender pork tongue into a rich, corn-studded skillet dish.

Ingredients for Creamy Lengua (Pork Tongue)
- 1 lb pork tongue
- 1 tbsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 can (370 ml) evaporated milk
- 1 cup reserved tongue broth
- 1 can (15.25 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
- Salt, to taste
- Ground pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose cream
How to cook Creamy Lengua (Pork Tongue)
- 1.Pressure-cook pork tongue with 1 tablespoon salt and enough water to cover for 25–30 minutes.
- 2.Cool slightly, reserve 1 cup broth, peel away the outer skin, and slice tongue about 1/4 inch thick.
- 3.Melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until tender and fragrant.
- 4.Add tongue and soy sauce; cook 2–3 minutes, turning slices once or twice.
- 5.Add evaporated milk, reserved broth, corn, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes until beginning to thicken.
- 6.Stir in all-purpose cream and simmer 1 minute. Adjust seasoning and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
