Ginisang Okra with Fish Flakes
Ginisang okra with galunggong flakes is a quick, savory rice-friendly skillet dish.

Ingredients for Ginisang Okra with Fish Flakes
- 12–15 okra, sliced
- 4 fried galunggong fish
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes, cubed
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
- 2½ tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Ginisang Okra with Fish Flakes
- 1.Remove bones from the fried galunggong and shred the fish into flakes.
- 2.Heat oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- 3.Add tomato and fish flakes; cook 2 minutes. Stir in okra and cook 5–10 minutes over high heat until tender.
- 4.Add patis and black pepper; cook 2 minutes more. Serve with rice.
