Pork Bistek
Pork Bistek layers lemon-marinated pork with a soy-beef sauce, soft onions, and crisp potatoes.

Ingredients for Pork Bistek
- 700 g pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- Juice of 3 lemons, divided
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 large potato, thinly sliced
- Oil, for frying
- 2 large white onions, sliced into rings
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
How to cook Pork Bistek
- 1.Marinate pork with one-third of the lemon juice, salt, and pepper for at least 24 hours.
- 2.Deep-fry potato slices until crisp; drain. Drain pork thoroughly and bring it to room temperature.
- 3.Pan-fry pork in hot oil until cooked, then remove. Briefly sauté onions in the same pan without overcooking.
- 4.Whisk cornstarch, water, beef stock, and soy sauce until smooth; add to the pan and boil until lightly thickened.
- 5.Add remaining lemon juice, adjust salt and pepper, then pour sauce over pork and garnish with onions and fried potatoes.
