Ingredients for Biscocho with Condensed Milk
1 cup milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
1 1/2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1 medium egg
1/2 stick butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
How to cook Biscocho with Condensed Milk
1.Combine milk, sugar, salt, and 3 tablespoons butter; warm until lukewarm. Beat in egg.
2.Mix flour and yeast, add milk mixture, and knead 7 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rise, covered, until doubled.
3.Divide dough into 4 logs, about 6 inches each. Rise 10 to 15 minutes, then bake at 185°C for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
4.Cool, cut each loaf lengthwise into 4 pieces, and dry at room temperature for 1 to 2 days.
5.Arrange on a lined tray, brush cut sides with softened butter and condensed milk, then bake at 150°C for 20 to 30 minutes until crisp and lightly golden.
