Cheesy Baked Macaroni Pinoy Style layers beefy Filipino spaghetti sauce with creamy cheese sauce.

Ingredients for Cheesy Baked Macaroni Pinoy Style
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 15 oz Filipino-style spaghetti sauce
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
How to cook Cheesy Baked Macaroni Pinoy Style
- 1.Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
- 2.Brown beef in a wok; add onion and garlic, then sauté until onion softens. Add bell pepper and cook 1 minute.
- 3.Add Filipino-style spaghetti sauce and water; stir and cook 12 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4.For white sauce, melt butter, cook flour for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in milk and half the cheese until thick.
- 5.Combine macaroni, meat sauce, and white sauce; transfer to a baking pan and top with remaining cheese.
- 6.Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes, until hot and melted, then serve.
