40 minutes · Serves 6

Ingredients for Filipino Pancit

  • 1/2 lb pancit bihon
  • 1/2 lb pancit canton
  • 1/2 lb pork belly, sliced
  • 1 cup carrot, sliced or julienned
  • 1/2 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 Maggi Magic Chicken Cube
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 4 cups water, plus more if needed
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fish sauce, to taste

How to cook Filipino Pancit

  1. 1.Heat cooking oil in a large wok over medium heat, then sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant.
  2. 2.Add the pork belly and cook, stirring, until the pork turns light brown.
  3. 3.Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, adding a little more water if needed, until the pork is tender.
  4. 4.Add the Maggi Magic Chicken Cube, carrots, and cabbage. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  5. 5.Add the pancit bihon and pancit canton, pressing the noodles into the sauce until they absorb liquid and soften enough to toss.
  6. 6.Gently toss until the noodles, pork, and vegetables are evenly mixed.
  7. 7.Stir in the parsley, then season with ground black pepper and fish sauce to taste.
  8. 8.Cover and simmer for 3 minutes more. Turn off the heat and serve hot.
