Ginisang Okra at Dilis
Ginisang okra at dilis is a budget-friendly saute with crisp dried anchovies, tender okra, tomatoes, and garlic.

Ingredients for Ginisang Okra at Dilis
- 200 g okra, trimmed
- 50 g dried dilis
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup water
- Fish sauce, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Oil, as needed
How to cook Ginisang Okra at Dilis
- 1.Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Stir-fry the dried dilis until fragrant and crisp, then remove them from the wok and set aside.
- 2.Using the same wok, lower the heat and saute the garlic and onion until the onion is soft.
- 3.Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring until they begin to soften.
- 4.Return the dilis to the wok, then add the okra and 1/2 cup water. Raise the heat to high and bring to a boil while stir-frying for 5 minutes.
- 5.Season with fish sauce and freshly ground black pepper. Lower the heat, cover the wok, and cook for 5 minutes more, until the okra is tender.
- 6.Turn off the heat and serve hot with rice.
