Pork Chop Suey
Pork Chop Suey is a hearty stir-fry of tender pork and vegetables in a light savory sauce.

Ingredients for Pork Chop Suey
- 1 lb pork shoulder, thinly sliced
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced crosswise
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 1 small bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Pork Chop Suey
- 1.Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sauté onion for 1 minute, then garlic for 30 seconds.
- 2.Stir-fry pork 5–7 minutes until lightly browned and no longer pink.
- 3.Add optional soy sauce and carrot; cook 3 minutes. Add bell pepper and cabbage and stir-fry 3 minutes.
- 4.Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook 5–8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- 5.Dissolve cornstarch in broth. Stir it into the wok with parsley and cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.
- 6.Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.
