  • 1 1/2 pounds ground pork
  • 2 longanisa, casings removed
  • 1 Knorr Pork Cube
  • 1 carrot, minced
  • 3/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 3/4 cup minced singkamas
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 20 lumpia wrappers
  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 7 teaspoons water

How to cook Longanisa Lumpiang Shanghai

  1. 1.Mix pork, longanisa, carrot, onion, singkamas, green onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, grated Pork Cube, and egg.
  2. 2.Place 1 tablespoon filling on each lumpia wrapper and roll tightly, sealing the edges.
  3. 3.Deep-fry in oil at 320°F over medium heat for about 12 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. 4.For sauce, boil sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and vinegar; stir in cornstarch slurry until thick.
  5. 5.Serve the fried lumpia with the sweet-and-sour sauce.
