Sardines with Misua and Patola
Sardines with Misua and Patola is a fast, comforting soup made from pantry sardines and tender gourd.

Ingredients for Sardines with Misua and Patola
- 125 g misua noodles
- 400 g canned sardines in tomato sauce
- 1 patola, peeled and sliced
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups water
- Oil, as needed
- Fish sauce, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Sardines with Misua and Patola
- 1.Heat oil in a soup pot and sauté garlic and red onion until fragrant.
- 2.Add sardines with their tomato sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
- 3.Add water and patola. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
- 4.Add misua and simmer for 2 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
- 5.Season with fish sauce, salt if needed, and black pepper. Turn off the heat and serve.
