Filipino Chicken Noodle Soup
This hearty Filipino chicken noodle soup combines round miki, bacon, chicken, and vegetables in a savory broth.

Ingredients for Filipino Chicken Noodle Soup
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 lb chicken, cut into small serving pieces
- 1/2 cup chicken liver, chopped
- 2 cups water
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 4 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 1/2 small cabbage, cored and chopped
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce (patis)
- 1 lb round miki noodles
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
How to cook Filipino Chicken Noodle Soup
- 1.Heat oil in a pot and sauté garlic and onion until the onion softens.
- 2.Add chicken; cook 3–5 minutes until lightly browned, then add chicken liver and cook 2 minutes.
- 3.Add water and chicken broth; boil, cover, and simmer 30 minutes until chicken is tender.
- 4.Stir in bacon, carrot, and cabbage; cook 5–8 minutes, then season with fish sauce.
- 5.Add miki and cook 5–7 minutes until tender, loosening with broth or water if needed; stir in green onions and serve.
