- 16 oz grilled porterhouse steak, sliced
- 4 pieces extra-firm tofu, fried and cubed
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp white sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 small red onion, minced
- 2 tsp roasted sesame seeds
How to cook Tokwat Baka (Fried Tofu and Grilled Beef in Vinegar Sauce)
- 1.Arrange sliced grilled porterhouse steak and fried tofu cubes in a serving bowl.
- 2.Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, black pepper, salt, and minced red onion in a separate bowl.
- 3.Microwave dressing for 20 to 30 seconds, just until warmed and the sugar dissolves.
- 4.Pour warm dressing over beef and tofu, then top with green onions and roasted sesame seeds.
- 5.Serve immediately or let stand briefly for the flavors to mingle.
