Ginisang Labong is a savory bamboo-shoot sauté with pork, prawns, and fish sauce.

- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup prawns, shelled and deveined
- 1 cup ground pork
- 3 cups bamboo shoots (labong), cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 stalk green onion, cut diagonally
How to cook Sauteed Bamboo Shoots (Ginisang Labong)
- 1.Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat; sauté garlic and onion until aromatic and softened.
- 2.Add ground pork and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it up as it browns.
- 3.Add prawns and cook until pink on all sides.
- 4.Stir in labong and fish sauce; season with salt and pepper, then cook until bamboo shoots are tender.
- 5.Add green onion just before turning off the heat and transfer to a serving dish.
