Sinigang na Tilapia sa Miso
Sinigang na Tilapia sa Miso is a sour, savory fish soup with mellow yellow miso.

Ingredients for Sinigang na Tilapia sa Miso
- 1 large tilapia, about 1 lb or more, scaled and gutted
- Salt, for seasoning
- 2 tablespoons yellow miso paste
- 2 medium tomatoes, wedged
- 1 medium yellow onion, quartered
- 5–7 mustard leaves
- 2 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 8 okra
- 1 sachet sinigang mix
- 5 cups water
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cooking oil
How to cook Sinigang na Tilapia sa Miso
- 1.Season tilapia with salt and rest 10 minutes. Heat oil and pan-fry the fish over medium heat for 5 minutes per side; set aside.
- 2.Transfer 2 tablespoons frying oil to a pot. Sauté onion and tomatoes, then add miso, fish sauce, and water; bring to a boil.
- 3.Stir in sinigang mix. Return fried tilapia and cook 3 minutes, then add okra and cook 2 minutes.
- 4.Turn off heat, add pepper and mustard leaves, cover 5 minutes, and serve.
