Pork Chao Fan
Pork Chao Fan is a quick wok-fried rice dish with savory pork, vegetables, and egg.

Ingredients for Pork Chao Fan
- 6 ounces ground pork
- 4 cups cold leftover rice
- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 3/4 cup green peas
- 1 onion, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, optional
- Salt, to taste
- Ground white pepper, to taste
- 5 tablespoons cooking oil, divided
How to cook Pork Chao Fan
- 1.Break up clumps in the cold rice so it will fry evenly.
- 2.Heat a wok over medium-high, add 2 tablespoons oil, scramble eggs until just set, and remove.
- 3.Add remaining oil, sauté onion until soft, then stir-fry pork until browned and cooked through.
- 4.Stir in hoisin, soy sauce, and sesame oil, then add carrots and rice; stir-fry on high for 2 minutes.
- 5.Add peas and green onions; fry 1 minute, return eggs, season with optional garlic powder, salt, and white pepper, and serve.
