Filipino Pork Fried Rice
Cold rice, pork belly, soy sauce, and fried garlic make a hearty Filipino breakfast rice.

Ingredients for Filipino Pork Fried Rice
- 1/4 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 4 to 5 cups cooked white rice, preferably cold
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 7 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Filipino Pork Fried Rice
- 1.Toss pork with soy sauce and marinate for 30 minutes. Mix the cold rice gently with salt.
- 2.Heat oil in a wide pan over medium heat. Fry garlic until medium brown, then remove and set aside.
- 3.Cook pork with its marinade over low to medium heat for 5 minutes.
- 4.Increase to medium-high heat and stir-fry rice for 5–7 minutes, stirring almost continuously until hot and separated.
- 5.Stir in half the fried garlic for 1 minute. Plate and top with the remaining garlic.
