7-Up Marinated Pork Scotch
7-Up Marinated Pork Scotch delivers juicy, caramelized pork with a lightly sweet lemon-lime glaze.

Ingredients for 7-Up Marinated Pork Scotch
- 1 kg pork scotch, cut into thick slices
- 1 cup 7-Up or other clear lemon-lime soda
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 thumb-sized piece ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp garlic and spiced salt powder
- 2 tsp cornstarch or potato starch
- Oil, for frying
How to cook 7-Up Marinated Pork Scotch
- 1.Combine soda, scallions, ginger, cooking wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and garlic and spiced salt powder.
- 2.Add pork, coat well, cover, and marinate at least 2 hours or overnight.
- 3.Toss pork with starch until lightly coated.
- 4.Heat a thin layer of oil over medium-high heat and fry pork in batches until deeply caramelized and crisp at the edges.
- 5.Optionally simmer leftover marinade in the pan until sticky, glaze the pork, then rest briefly before serving.
