- 1 kg pork chops, cut into medium square pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup banana ketchup
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 head garlic, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil

How to cook Barbara’s Pinoy Barbecue
- 1.Combine soy sauce, banana ketchup, lemon juice, garlic, onion, pepper, brown sugar, salt, and oil in a bowl.
- 2.Coat pork thoroughly in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 10 hours or overnight.
- 3.Thread 5 to 9 pork pieces onto each skewer, allowing for shrinkage during grilling.
- 4.Heat a grill or grill pan until hot. Grill skewers, turning each side 2 to 3 times, until evenly browned and lightly charred.
- 5.Brush with marinade while grilling and cook until pork is fully done; serve hot.
