Spicy Pork Kaldereta
This spicy pork kaldereta gets its robust sauce from tomatoes, liver spread, broth, and Thai chilies.

Ingredients for Spicy Pork Kaldereta
- 2 lbs pork belly
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 can (85 g) liver spread
- 6 Thai chili peppers, chopped
- 3/4 cup green peas
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 red onion
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
How to cook Spicy Pork Kaldereta
- 1.Heat oil in a pot and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- 2.Add pork belly and cook until lightly browned. Stir in diced tomatoes.
- 3.Add Thai chilies, soy sauce, and liver spread; cook 2 minutes while stirring.
- 4.Add beef broth, cover, bring to a boil, then simmer 45 minutes.
- 5.Add carrot, potatoes, bell pepper, and peas. Cover and cook 5–7 minutes, until vegetables are tender; season with salt and pepper.
