Sinigang na Bayabas
Sinigang na Bayabas is a guava-soured pork soup with tender taro and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients for Sinigang na Bayabas
- 1 kg pork belly, cubed
- 2 cups unripe guavas, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, quartered
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 1 small packet sinigang tamarind mix
- 1 bunch spinach
- 2 cups taro, cubed
- 1 okra, cut into 2-inch pieces
- Fish sauce, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
How to cook Sinigang na Bayabas
- 1.Place pork, onion, tomatoes, and guavas in a pot; add water until barely covered.
- 2.Bring to a boil, then simmer 45 minutes until pork begins to tenderize.
- 3.Add taro and simmer 10 minutes.
- 4.Stir in sinigang mix and okra; cook 10 minutes.
- 5.Add spinach, cover, and turn off heat. Season with fish sauce and pepper before serving.
